How to Cure Autism

Autism or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a mental condition which greatly affects communication and social skills.  It is also characterized by challenges with repetitive behaviors and unique strengths and differences.  It is called spectrum because it describes the range of difficulties that people on the autism spectrum may experience. Some people with autism will be able to live independently on the future while others may have accompanying learning challenges and require continued specialist support. Spectrum reflects the wide differences in challenges and strengths possessed by each person with autism.

Unfortunately, as of this moment, there is no known cure for autism but there are therapy and intervention programs which will help to overcome behavioral issues.  Some people with autism have medical conditions like sleep disturbance, seizures and gastrointestinal distress.  In this case, a doctor may prescribe medication to at least control symptoms.

Each child and adult with autism is unique that is why intervention plan should be designed to address specific needs.  Treatment method that will work for one child may not work for another child because each child may need different approaches and strategies.  These interventions include occupational therapies, language and speech therapies, and physical therapies. Intervention will help a child learn and improve symptoms of autism.

Some try gluten-free diet, GAPS diet, probiotics supplements; Epson salts baths, chelation therapy, omega-3 fatty acids supplements, etc. to improve behaviors, sleeping disorders, sensory issues, gut issued and other autism symptoms.
