ADHD means Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Children with ADHD have trouble paying attention, very impulsive and overly active. These behaviors can be present at children but children with ADHD these behaviors are present all the time and do not go away or lessen on their own and it cause major negative impact on their lives. Causes of ADHD are still unknown but some research shows genetics play important role.
Here are some basic symptoms of ADHD:

- Being irritable, forgetful and fidgety
- Having trouble organizing task and activities
- Runs around and climbs things always
- Having difficulty waiting his/her turns
- Quickly loses focus

Treatment for ADHD includes therapies and medications. Some children respond to one kind of treatment but other may respond to the combination of therapies and medications. There are two types of medication for ADHD such as stimulant and non-stimulant. These drugs helps to lessen the symptoms of ADHD.
Therapies for ADHD include behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Behavioral therapy aims is to change negative behavior to positive behavior and it often used reward system for positive behavior. While cognitive behavioral therapy is a type of talk therapy. This allows the kid or the patient with ADHD to think about their feelings, thoughts, and behavior.
Other alternative treatment for ADHD includes exercises, outdoor activities, omega supplements and change in diets.
